Tyre (Sour, Lebanon)
Shekels of Tyre were struck from about 125 B.C. to about 48 A.D. and were used by the Jewish people to pay an annual tax to the Jerusalem Temple.  It is believed that the thirty pieces of silver paid to Judas Iscariot for the betrayal of Jesus (Matthew 26:15; 27:5-9) were shekels of Tyre.
